Duckie Brown’s collection was harmonious this season, allowing its romantic color scheme, relaxed silhouettes and delicately androgynous aesthetic to dance with one another like poetry. The Industria Superstudio show glistened with quiet, relaxed confidence—a calm atmosphere complemented by a buzzing backstage completely visible to the audience. Designers Steven Cox and Daniel Silver aimed for airiness throughout the show, from the spacious sun-flooded venue to the light, easy clothes. By doing away with the wall that traditionally hides assistants, stylists and models, Duckie Brown’s presentation was uniquely social, completely devoid of pretention.
Laidback, drop-crotch trousers were softened with billowing deep-cut shirts, adding in a quiet hint of femininity. Blush pinks breathed life into the monochromatic black, white and grey color story, finishing with a dramatic lux crimson and oversized navy plaid. Fundamental menswear pieces were at play and finished with finesse. Perfectly tailored overcoats, silk bomber jackets and high-collar shirts looked back on tradition, but still felt wonderfully new.
