Now the Gorillaz Are Moving to TV

+

After years of silence and months of teasing, Gorillaz are back in a really big way. They’ve got a new album, a series of haunted houses and now they’re moving to TV. In an interview with Q Magazine, Jamie Hewlett revealed he’s been hard at work on a 10-episode pilot for the cartoon band. He also dropped a few hints as to what we can expect from Humanz, including tracks with Noel Gallagher and Grace Jones, as well as the fact that Morrissey rejected an invite to collab. No surprise there—Morrissey’s a dick.

Unfortunately, Hewlett hasn’t shared any further details regarding the show, but it doesn’t really matter—we’re all going to watch it and it’s going to be great. I’m not even sure which part is most exciting. But I do know the five tracks we’ve heard from Humanz so far, have been really fucking good. So if that’s any indication of what’s to come, I’d say it’s been worth the wait.
