Nike is advancing the game with a new, body positive sports bra campaign centered on real women with diverse body types. Model, writer and Instagram it-girl Paloma Elsesser, heads the campaign alongside Claire Fountain and DJ duo, Angel and Dren, and shares some Sports Bra 101. As a brand typically modeled exclusively by athletes, Elsesser’s new role as Nike’s spokeswoman is an exciting, much-needed shift.
“Paloma Elsesser is the culture,” Nike explained on its site. “In many circles, she is the zeitgeist provocateur for twenty-somethings in search of the everlasting cool. Respected for her story, infectious personality, and an outstanding ability to bring high fashion and streetwear (or anything for that matter) together, Paloma’s integrity is nothing short of sage-like for cool kids.”
