For Nicopanda’s fall ’16 campaign, Creative Director Nicola Formichetti teamed up with his childhood hero, Italian Photographer Oliviero Toscani, to capture the diverse Nicopanda community. The result of their collaboration is a vibrant set of high-contrast images—much like Toscani’s iconic work with Benetton—together highlighting the diverse energy behind one of New York’s most exciting young brands today.
The collection, packed with Nicopanda iconography, highlights the brand’s fusion of Japanese street fashion with New York’s downtown cool, while the photos each explore Formichetti’s signature mix of high fashion and quirky street culture. By collaborating with Toscani for this campaign, Formichetti was able to perfectly articulate Nicopanda’s ethos of fearless energy and all-encompassing inclusivity.
