Nickelodeon has officially led the way for LGBTQ characters with the introduction of its first gay, interracial couple on The Loud House, a new animated series about a noisy family with 10 siblings. In the latest episode, premiering tonight, lead character Clyde McBride introduces his two dads, voiced by Wayne Brady and Michael McDonald, to his friend Lincoln—an exchange that’s natural and executed without sensationalism.

My nephew watches The Loud House religiously as well as Steven Universe and I’m just glad that he’s seeing this in a normal setting.
