The New ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ Is Here, and It’s Dramatic

+

Since the last thing you want to do on a Monday morning involves actual work, 20th Century Fox astutely released the new trailer for this summer’s X-Men: Days of Future Past, granting you a two minutes and thirty seven seconds of pure, unbridled, JLaw-filled escapism. We already know that this film, directed by original X-Men helmer Bryan Singer, will bridge the characters from his original films with their younger counterparts from 2011’s X-Men: First Class. Now we get a little more insight into the hows and whys—apparently it’s to stop a cataclysmic war, a la Terminator 2—and we also get a good look at the film’s main villain, Bolivar Trask (Peter Dinklage) and his army of Sentinels. It’s all very dramatic stuff, in a blockbuster movie about superhero mutants kind of way.
