Kitsuné Maison will be celebrating its 10 Year Anniversary with a sure to be unforgettable Club Night at (Le) Poisson Rouge in New York City on October 30th, followed by a tour around America that will be accompanied by the likes of Penguin Prison and The Twelves. But, of course, no Kitsuné party would be complete without a trendy dance mix to match. Lucky for us, their commemoratory Compilation 14 was released today in anticipation of the big event. Quintessentially Kitsuné, the tunes are enduringly cool and – for those of you at work this Monday, be forewarned – impossible not to groove to. Easing in with a dreamy Saint Lou Lou song, the tracks build one-by-one into bouncy beats that conjure fantasies of eternal youthful nights spent in underground discotheques – “This little heart/ Racing through the gates/ Lighting up my cigarettes and counting out the change in our pockets,” sings Citizens! Hits by contemporary favorites such as Plastic Plates and Two Door Cinema Club are remixed to perfection and there is even an exclusive track by Is Tropical titled “Venezuela.” To add to the hype, Kitsuné will be setting up Sound Graffiti stations in various locations around NYC where the public can plug in their headphones and listen to the compilation for free, right then and there. Or you can listen to the mix from your computer with the link below. Welcome to your autumn soundtrack.
