By now we know everyone hates Putin—even people who love Trump seem to realize how much he sucks. That’s why we’ll never miss anything called Putin In Drag, especially when it refers to subversive art. In Russia, this show couldn’t exist, and that’s exactly why the team at Con Artist Collective is doing it. Opening next week, Putin In Drag celebrates freedom of speech in all of its forms, showcasing all of our favorite—or least favorite—politicians in gender-bending roles. From a Trumpian recreation of Amélie (see above), to paintings of Pence in pearls, the exhibition highlights Putin’s penchant for imprisoning dissidents, and the collective’s determination to have their voice heard.

Putin in Drag opens July 11 at Con Artist Gallery in NYC.
