Rising Italian footwear designer Marco Laganà is a product of the prestigious Milanese University Politecnico—an education that allowed him to polish his craft with established brands like Camille Tanoh and Maision Pierre Hardy. Just last spring, Laganà bravely decided to pave his own lane, building a private label steeped in handmade European quality. For his AW ’15 menswear collection, Laganà approached the concept through a Warholian lens, pulling inspiration from the values of Pop Art.
The packaging alone is consumeristic, mimicking the clean, classic milk cartons you’d spot in any market; Laganà’s designs are a fusion of tradition values with contemporary styling, bringing together old-world, Italian-made quality with streamlined silhouettes. “It’s modern Italy,” Laganà said. “Holding one foot in the future and one in the past.” See a sampling of the grocery-inspired lookbook, above—we’re obsessed.
