The only thing sadder than a regular strip club is a strip club that knows strip clubs are sad. (Same rules for bloggers). Case in point, the kitschy Clermont Lounge in Atlanta, renowned for the air quotes around all of the bare titties. The only thing sadder than even all of that, is imagining the bros from Mumford & Sons, who, you may be aware, sing some pretty sad songs, chilling out at said strip club. Wait, it gets worse though! What about Mumford & Sons getting kicked out of the strip club in question? Well, then it’s so sad it swings all the way back around to funny again. That’s apparently what happened Tuesday night, as Paste reports (via). Haha, those guys. More like Mumford & Bums.
The trouble allegedly began when certain band members, according to one source, began arguing with security over the club’s photo policy.
“They were being rude to security and they were taking pictures and you’re not allowed to take pictures in here,” said a Clermont employee, who wished to remain anonymous. “Apparently there were some words said and someone cursed out the security staff.”
Here’s why it’s funny, though: Because Mumford & Sons aren’t the type of guys you’d expect to get thrown out of a strip club, you see. You might expect that from the likes of some decadent hard rocker, or a hip-hop bro, but these guys play mandolins! Haha. Never saw it coming, did we?
