For an actor, appearing on a local morning show to promote a project is supposed a mechanical, mind-numbing ritual. They lob you softballs and you politely hit them back to the mound. But every now and then the hosts—who can sometimes be total idiots—will toss you a screaming curve ball and catch you dead at the plate. That’s what happened this morning when Nicholas Hoult, out promoting his new sci-fi indie Young Ones (it’s good, see it!) alongside director Jake Paltrow, was asked by the hosts of Good Day New York about his ex Jennifer Lawrence’s hacked nude photos, which, as one of the hosts points out correctly but incredibly awkwardly were “pictures that might have been sent to you.” Hoult handles the question as well as anyone in that situation possibly can. Is the host brave, tactless, or just plain rude? Check it out below and cast your vote and your local high school gym!
