You may be abreast of the most important political issues at hand in the upcoming presidential election: abortion rights, unemployment, public arts funding, a potential war with Iran, and so forth. There’s so much to get into! Ideally, you’ve made your decision because anyone who’s really undecided at this point in the campaign should probably avoid handling any heavy machinery in the future. If you haven’t, I really hope an endorsement from Lindsay Lohan, of all voices, won’t sway your opinion.
But come on: How could the former Mean Girls star (rather, the eternal Mean Girls star) evoke support for Mitt Romney? “I think unemployment is very important for now, so as of now I think (my vote) is Mitt Romney,” she told reporters at a party in Los Angeles. In a way, that makes sense: being a tabloid mainstay doesn’t count as employment, and LiLo seems like she’s on her way toward the troubled trophy wife status that’s long been a feature of Republican domesticity. It still hurts, though. I wish we didn’t have to lump her in with the Kid Rock and Jenna Jameson Romney endorsements, but such is the price of a public opinion.
Reached for comment, the Romney campaign shuddered.
