Miley Cyrus Releases Tees with Marc Jacobs to Support Planned Parenthood


Though famed tongue wielder Miley Cyrus has done a number of things we don’t particularly love, her latest project is one we’re more than happy to get behind. In collaboration with Marc Jacobs, Cyrus has released two exclusive tees in support of Planned Parenthood. Each style features a portrait of the singer shot by Marilyn Minter through the photographer’s signature steamy, glamorous lens.

“Planned Parenthood of New York City is so grateful to have the support and partnership with fearless creative individuals, such as Marc, Miley and Marilyn,” said Joan Malin, President and CEO of Planned Parenthood NYC. “We are excited to raise awareness, enthusiasm and funding for the essential sexual health care services and education we provide and for individuals to have the opportunity to wear the support on their sleeves, literally.”

This collaboration is fitting, as Minter received Planned Parenthood’s Woman of Valor Award last month—an honor presented to her by Cyrus during the ceremony. Together, they’ve created a pair of tees, both priced at $50. One’s titled, “Miley Hearts Planned Parenthood,” starring Cyrus’ attention-seeking tongue forming a heart, and the other’s called, “Pro-Choice Miley,” where the “O” in “Choice” is replaced with her pursed, kissing lips.

Very fun, very cute, very Miley.

Though these types of charitable launches in fashion are often throwaway pursuits, Cyrus’ tees are something we’d totally buy—especially because 100 percent of net proceeds go to providing reproductive health care, sex education and information to millions of women, men and young people across the globe. That’s style and substance.
