McQ Alexander McQueen revealed its latest campaign for fall ’16, featuring Japanese psychedelic noise band Bo Ninjen and model Greta Varlese. Shot by photographer Harley Weir, the images showcase “the abstract energy of the boundary pushing musicians, dressed in looks from both the men’s and women’s collection.”
Inspired by “the rebellious, convention-breaking kids who formed the ’70s Shinjuku club scene,” McQ creative director, Sarah Burton, enlisted Weir to capture the creative connection between the band and the clothes. Bo Ninjen, who often wear custom McQ onstage, reflect the collection’s “unconstrained creativity.”
