We could sing androgyny’s praises for days—boys with gravity-defying cheekbones, girls in their boyfriends’ trousers—but why bother when photographer Marco van Rijt has so expertly turned up the heat on menswear-as-womenswear without uttering a single word? The Amsterdam-based photographer focuses his minimalist, monochromatic lens on angular blazers with bare chests, fully exposed garters, and S&M-ready leather gloves. Add to that a few structured details, an LBD or two, and a definite Night Porter vibe, and allow us to present to you a study in Oxford shirts that’s anything but bookish.
