Madonna released a poster for her upcoming “Bitch I’m Madonna” music video, revealing its impressive cast of superstars. She must have seen Taylor Swift do it and been like, “Oh, this is what the young kids are doing? Count me in.”
Madonna’s upcoming epic costars Nicki Minaj, Katy Perry, Beyoncé, Miley Cyrus and Rita Ora. While it might be cool for all these ladies to do a track together, filling your music video with a bunch of younger, more relevant pop stars (I love me some old Madonna but she hasn’t had a hit in a hot minute) doesn’t seem like the most effective tactic.
And is it just me or does this poster look suspiciously similar to Swifts’ “Bad Blood” posters? The angled Grindhouse-y text, the black and white famous faces, the unnecessary amount of famous people… please let Taylor Swift sue Madonna.
The only difference is the caliber of celeb featured. Madonna’s music video is the blockbuster while T. Swift’s is the big budget indie. Either way, it’s safe to say big budget music video epics are trending.
