Shia LaBeouf—actor, artist, newlywed. The actor tied the knot with his Nymphomaniac co-star, Mia Goth, in Vegas this week. The couple, who’ve dated on and off since 2012, were married by an Elvis impersonator, as they danced and live-streamed the event via TMZ. How romantic. The pair traded vows rife with Elvis references, promising to “adopt each others hound dogs,” and vowing to “always be each others teddy bears.”
LaBeouf, who’s traded in acting for performance art in the last few years, has shocked, err, confused, the public with “installations” that blur the line between reality and art—who could forget his I Am Not Famous Anymore “performance” at the Berlin Film Festival premiere for Nymphomaniac? LaBeouf also orchestrated #IAMSORRY—a silent performance piece where the actor met with thousands of fans in a Los Angeles gallery. After his crowdsourced hitchhiking tour across America, #TAKEMEANYWHERE, ended earlier this year, LaBeouf announced another project coming this December. Was the wedding part of it? Because those dance moves can’t be real.
Whether it was an art piece or a legitimate proclamation of the couple’s undying love, we may never know. In the meantime, check out the Lynchian nuptials, below.
