Listen to Love Fall Apart On KAPTAN’s Pretty Indie-Pop ‘Numbers’

“There are so many things that come into play when you’re in a relationship with someone, whether it’s timing or just overall great chemistry,” Andrew de Torres, aka KAPTAN says by way of introducing his new song “Numbers.”

“We’re losing who we were,” he sings, in a lilting, emotive tone, over the songs expansive indie-pop instrumentation.

“But overtime people change and sometimes you watch the things that you love most slowly slip through your fingers. Thats kind of what the song is about. It’s about the feeling you get when you watch the person you love most distance themselves from you and you find yourself wondering what you can do to make it better. The message in the chorus was kind of interesting for us to write because we are really just talking time. Whether there are things from our past or things in the future that could open up the possibility of fixing something that feels truly broken.”
