Lena Dunham and Jemima Kirke are two Girls that know a thing or two about fearlessly appearing in their underwear (or even less), which makes them ideal for these lovely, unphotoshopped advertisements for New Zealand-based lingerie brand Lonely.
The images are part of a larger campaign, dubbed The Lonely Girls Project, in which they feature women of all body types in their knickers. Speaking of which, their lingerie (and swimsuits, for that matter) is dope—lacy and feminine without being overtly sexy, works on all body types and, best of all, affordable.
While most lingerie ads objectify their subjects (no duh), Lonely aims to portray women as they actually wear their bras and panties. Anyone who’s lived in New York over the summer knows that putting on your girlfriend’s lipstick while wearing lingerie is not an unrealistic scenario.
Anyway, big ups to Lonely for celebrating women in all their forms and for making lingerie women actually want to wear.
