Lena Dunham and ‘Orange Is the New Black’ Stars on Hillary Clinton’s ‘Revolution’

In a new video by activist/artist coalition, Humanity for Hillary, Lena Dunham, Natasha Lyonne and Uzo Aduba tell the world #ThisIsWhatMyRevolutionLooksLike—income equality, protected abortion rights, more women in Congress and mostly, Hillary Clinton as president. (Shamir strongly disagrees).

A “progressive collective of activists and artists creating smart, human strategies to counter false negatives about Hillary Clinton,” Humanity for Hillary’s goal is to “take back the White House, the Senate and the Supreme Court,” by winning Clinton the presidency. They plan to use “art, creativity and storytelling to talk about why Hillary is the best choice for Humanity,” with the #ThisIsWhatMyRevolutionLooksLike campaign as their first step.

In the video, Dunham and co. share their visions for a more equal future with Clinton at the helm. “Women made up 53% of all voters in the last election,” says Adubo. “And yet we only make up 19.4% of our congress? WTF.”

As the video continues, the participants invite the audience to join the revolution, suggesting all the ways having a female president would reshape and enhance our future—paid family leave, equal pay for equal work and a presidential cabinet filled with women. “It looks like women finally having a seat at the table—at the head of the table,” says Dunham.
