Last Night Wasn’t Even Beyoncé’s Best Awards Show Performance Ever

+

It’s hard to argue that Beyoncé‘s 15 minute rundown of her entire self-titled album at last night’s VMA’s was a performance for the ages. But what if we told you that it wasn’t even the best awards show performance of her career? You’ll recall that three years ago, at the Billboard Music Awards, Beyoncé gave a performance that was not only captivating and ridiculously entertaining, but it was also cutting edge. To perform  “Run the World (Girls),” the first single off her fourth studio album 4, Beyoncé sang and danced in front of a background of blistering digital effects that were created by this man, and choreographed to her her every movement. Instead of backup dancers, there were two other Beyoncés up there, mimicking her every move. And like everything she does, the performancewas flawless, and like the VMA performance last night, Beyonce also received a lifetime achievement award that night. It also gave us what might be the best Beyonce gif of all time:
