Video Premiere: L.A. Rapper K. Rudd Invites You to His House Party in “Blow”

+

Weed and hip-hop have been inextricably linked since the dawn of man, so it’s comforting to see that L.A. rapper K. Rudd is continuing in that time- honored tradition with “Blow” (a song about weed), off his upcoming EP Enjoying Nature (also about weed). The song, which somehow glimmers and melts at the same time, features a smoky chorus by The Neighborhood frontman Jesse Rutherford, who beckons you to “Exhale for me and blow.” And like any self-respecting rap anthem about getting faded, “Blow” has its own house party-set video, which features the requisite amounts of 40 ounces, blunts, and marijuana smoke. The clip, which has an entire Tumblr devoted to it,  was produced by MADEBUYUS, an L.A.-based art and design collective headed up by Matthew Baus, who directed the clip, and Alexa Demie, who styled it.
