After the death of Kevin Power‘s father in 2010, the Irish-born artist became fascinated by Shamanism—an ancient healing tradition that explores the “visible world communicating with the energy from the unseen world.” Upon surrendering himself to these altered states of consciousness, Power designed his first collection of Shamanic wearables called, The Saint Francis, which married the silhouette of a dungaree with a Monk’s habit.
More recently, Power revisited his Shamanic passions by designing a denser collection inspired by how clothing affects our consciousness. Called Dali Lamas Pajamas, Power’s impressive range of unisex looks centers on our natural need to cocoon and feel volume around our bodies. Each piece from the collection was handmade in Amsterdam and provides a sense of protection with its asymmetrical drape that “falls around the body and into a wearable prayer that vibrates.”
Dali Lamas Pajamas’ one-of-a-kind pieces are available online for those who’re interested in “traveling on a spiritual journey” or simply investing in some incredible everyday looks.
