Remember when it was a big deal that the cast of Friends, actual actors who had to do things like memorize scripts and rehearse scenes, were making $1 Million an episode?
Well, America’s first family, The Kardashians, just signed a $100 Million 4-year contract with E! and all they have to do is live their lives on television. Kris Jenner, who is supposedly a tough negotiator, worked out the record-breaking deal, Page Six reports. Not included in the contract is Bruce Jenner, who will be getting his own E! show, chronicling his gender transition.
The deal includes Keeping Up with the Kardashians (good luck keeping up now that they’re bajillionaires) as well as other spinoffs and appearances (Khloe’s red carpet fashion stuff, Kourtney and Khloe take the Hamptons, and whatever else they’ve dreamed up). Kim is rumored to be taking on producing duties on other E! shows (i.e. the network has leeway to put her name places) and the network is supposedly looking to other Kardashians for exploitation…. Er… projects (most obvious choice would be new top model Kendel Jenner).
America, we have no one to blame but ourselves.
