As we learned earlier this month, you don’t eff with Taylor Swift, even if you’re a tenure-track swimsuit model. You’ll remember, if you remember silly things particularly well, that Jessica Hart didn’t think Swift, who had performed at the recent Victoria’s Secret fashion show, would make it in the cut-throat, cut-weight world of high stakes modelling. “I think, you know what, god bless her heart. I think she’s great. But, I don’t know, to me, she didn’t fit. I don’t know if I should say that,” she said.
Apparently rumors of her falling out with the bra-purveyors, however, were overstated. “There is no truth to the rumours that Jessica Hart has been fired or that she will no longer work with the brand. As you will see, she was a great part of our show and we look forward to continuing to work with her,” VS honcho Edward Razek said (via).
“It was taken out of context, but I have certainly learnt my lesson,” the model said.
Hart, who’s currently on the covers of Autralian Vogue and GQ, seems to have emerged unscathed after all. Let that be a lesson to us all: make fun of T Swift as much as we want, and no one is going to stop us.
