Jehovah’s Witness Children’s Cartoon Promotes Homophobia (Watch)

+

Children’s brains are malleable and too easily swayed by colorful cartoons with protagonists that talk in octaves no normal human can naturally reach. Checking all the brainwashing boxes, a new Jehovah’s Witness cartoon disguises their homophobic mission with childlike whimsy, as one little girl learns about why Jehovah created marriage between a man and a woman—horrifying.

In order to get to paradise, “you have to leave some things behind,” the girl’s mother explains, as the two discuss her friend Carrie’s two lesbian moms. She’s, of course, referring to various sins committed on earth, one of which is homosexuality—a sin she compares to items you’re forbidden from bringing onto an airplane. “What would happen if someone wanted to bring something on the plane that wasn’t allowed?” she asks.

Distilling this creepy, backwards dialogue into one concise conclusion, the mother encourages her daughter to spread the word of bigotry and inform Carrie that in order to reach paradise, she’ll have to somehow separate herself rom the sin of same-sex relationships. Watch the madness, below:
