For the newborn daughter of hip-hop royalty, a birth announcement in its most traditional sense would just seem a little, well, bourgeois. So it should come as no surprise, then, that proud, new father, Jay-Z, marked the birth of Blue Ivy Carter, with a poignant rap titled, “Glory feat B.I.C.” And, what an entrance. Baby Blue, who was born, January 7th, has already made her first public appearance, as her little tears can be heard toward the end of the song. “The most amazing feeling I feel. Words can’t describe what I’m feeling for real,” he raps. “Baby, I paint the sky blue, my greatest creation was you.”
The lyrics in this song also foreshadow a very fashionable future for little Blue, particularly one spent on London’s storied Savile Row. “Two years old, shopping on Savile Row. Wicked ass lil’ b. Hard not to spoil you rotten, looking like little me. The most beautifullest thing in this world, Daddy’s little girl.”
Watch out, Suri.
