Jay Z Releases Possible ‘Lemonade’ Response with ‘All The Way Up’

Since’s Beyoncé’s Lemonade came out, the world has been rife with speculations about the state of her marriage. Did her husband, Jay Z, actually cheat or was it all just a brilliant marketing scheme to spike album sales? The only person who hasn’t said anything about the rumors, until now, is Jay-Z. Finally, Hova’s hinted a response with his remix of a Fat Joe and Remy Ma track, “All The Way Up,” featuring French Montana.

In his verse, Jay says, “You know you made it when the fact your marriage made it is worth millions,” continuing with, “Lemonade is a popular drink and it is still is.”

Fans have been questioning the King and Queen of hip-hop’s marriage since the infamous elevator fight between Solange and Jay Z after last year’s Met Gala. Lemonade seemed to confirm the rumors, though some have suggested the album is not autobiographical, but a set-up for Jay to release a response album, and, of course, cash in big. If the pair’s plan all along was publicity, it’s definitely working.

“All The Way Up” is available for streaming exclusively on Tidal—another key element in Jay Z’s massive money-making scheme. While it offers little clarity in regards to Bey, the song is Jay Z’s first track since releasing his 2013 album, Magna Carta Holy Grail.
