Move over Lily-Rose Depp (or don’t—you’re an angel and we love you. Carry on), there’s another celeb spawn poised for fashion stardom: Iris Law, daughter of Jude and Sadie Frost. Law just made her high fashion debut in the Miu Miu Resort look book (her model debut came last winter for Illustrated People… that is if you don’t count the time she appeared in Vogue as a toddler. Tough life), and she couldn’t look lovelier.
This is the ideal high fashion coming out party for a celeb spawn. While most models make their debut on the runway, the daughter of famous folk has the advantage of a built-in fan base (Law’s Instagram following isn’t monstrous, but it’s respectable. It’s also bound to balloon after this), allowing them a higher-profile first gig. Photographs are “safer” than runway – there’s no possibility of tripping or falling down (the horror!), and one gets to reap the benefits of retouching… Not that a 15-year-old with excellent genes really needs it. A look book brings less pressure and scrutiny for a campaign (there will be plenty of time for those later) and, finally, it’s Miu Miu, a brand that’s classy and universally well regarded, yet whimsical and youthful.
Congratulations, Iris. Now can you and Lily please usurp the fashion throne from Kendall and the Hadid’s? Thanks.
