Gwyneth Paltrow’s into Chief Keef Now, Of Course

+

As abrasive and gutter as Chief Keef can seem pretty much most of the time, we all knew his days as an underground thing were over when Gawker ran that story hailing him as rap’s next big thing. Then came Kanye West’s remix of “I Don’t Like” where the 17-year-old phenom gets bordered in by big name rappers like Jadakiss and Pusha T. But none of those things are nearly as status-making as a thumbs up from Pepper Potts. Jay-Z’s Life + Times blog is hosting a playlist titled “Gwyneth Paltrow’s Summer Jams,” and alongside tracks from Kendrick Lamar, Frank Ocean, Beach House, Juicy J and Grimes, the actress also big-ups Chief Keef’s “I Don’t Like”, saying “I’m waiting for a clean version to be released. Until then I’ll just play it in my car.” Paltrow has clearly learned from her whole “Niggas in Paris” incident. Take this with the above photo of a couple of fruit-snacking tweens posing with Chief Keef on Chicago’s Michigan Avenue, and it can only mean that somewhere down the line we’ll see Chief Keef as a series regular on one of the Law & Orders. Until then, watch out for a mention of Sasha Go Hard’s mixtape in the next Goop newsletter.
