Grindr, the gay hookup app used to exchange dick pics and reinforce your public reputation as a “straight-acting top,” has plans to become high-brow, having announced today they’ll be live streaming J.W. Anderson’s AW ’16 menswear presentation this Sunday.
Users will all receive an exclusive code and link to open a new tab on their mobile devices or tablets, where they’ll be able to watch the British designer’s latest work.
“I think fashion is a sexy platform as well, ultimately,” said Anderson to the New York Times. “We’re all humans, so we all have to be somewhat sexually attractive to someone. That’s the name of the game, with clothing.”
The designer’s collaboration with Grindr is a brilliant marketing move for both parties, as the app reports to have one million active global users online every minute.
