Oh hi Monday, haven’t seen you in a while—like a week I guess. Are you still an asshole? Good to know.

I don’t want to get out of bed myself, and all I have to do to get to work is roll over and turn on the laptop. LOL FML. Sometimes getting out of bed in the morning requires a little inspiration though, a performance enhancing drug, if you will, and since we haven’t figured out a way to upload stimulants through blogs (yet), the best we can do for you here is sharing music.

Not everyone has the same taste, however, which is why we’ve got two vastly different songs that should put a little spring in your step, one for the unabashed pop fans, and one for people who are probably just going to go ahead and sleep in a few more minutes before getting up and skip that whole “showering” thing.

The first track here is the debut from 15 year old Swedish pop star, Ida LaFontaine (h/t) called “Dancin 4 My Life,” and that number in the title is a pretty good tip off about whether or not you’re going to vibe to it right off the bat. Do you like hearing infinite variations on the same theme over and over done in slightly different ways forever? Have you ever shared an inspirational quote on your Facebook page hoping to cheer up your friends? Are you a child at heart? Are you a literal child? Do you feel like dancing  is therapy for everything that ails you? Then here’s your jam.

This track is from Boston’s scuzzy fuzzy rock band Earthquake Party! and it’s, well, pretty much the exact opposite. Are you wearing the same thing you had on yesterday? Are there anywhere between 0 to infinite beer cans on the floor in your bedroom? Do you still smoke inside your apartment? Do you have an apartment? Do you feel like screaming and bouncing around at a basement show is therapy for everything that ails you? Then here’s your jam.
