Fraud Fashion Stylist Makes Off With Thousands In Samples By Duping Designers

A man posing as an influential stylist has made off with thousands of dollars worth of samples by claiming he’s an editor with connections at various publications, including Bullett, Dazed reports.

Dazed was tipped off to the con when Berluti reps informed them that Arnaud Henry Mensan requested samples for scheduled editorials in Dazed Japan and AnOther. Berluti reps said the samples were worth £10,000, and that Mensan stopped responding after he received them. Another designer, Sadie Clayton, told Dazed he had also made off with £14,000 of her work.

Mensan’s Instagram claims that he was honored in Business of Fashion‘s 500, which is a lie.
