Fit to Print: Pajama-rama, Day 1

For chapter three of BULLETT’s Fit to Print, the sun sets on pajamas’ slouchy reputation, and rises with a crisper take on those sleepy, periwinkle coordinates.

In our first edition of Fit to Print, we explored the many lingerie-inspired looks seen on the Spring 2012 runways. But this is not the only trend straight from the boudoir. Tailored men’s pajama shirts doubled as a feminine option chic enough for daily wear, and yet comfy enough for a day spent lazing around.  But the girl in the pinstripe pajama set is anything but languid with those batty, bedroom eyes, perpetually drooping from the weight of her giraffe-like lashes.  Emerging from white sheets as crisp as her piped pajama top, she looks purposefully laissez-faire, but effortlessly chic. When nobody is looking, she’s singing in the mirror pretending her Mason Pearson hairbrush is her magic microphone (her major bedhead, however, remains untouched, thrown on top of her head in a lackadaisical knot). Skater chick by day, vixen by night, she’s the girl every guy treats like a sister — but secretly wishes she was much more than that.
