There was an abundance of pink at last night’s launch of Ferragamo’s new fragrance, Signorina. Starlets like Kate Mara, Piper Perabo, and Emma Roberts posed on a pink carpet outside Julian Schnabel’s pink palace, Palazzo Chupi, against a backdrop of some very pink flowers. Inside, guests nibbled on raspberry macaroons, strawberry marshmallows, and cotton candy, which were all—you guessed it—pink. But last night wasn’t just about perfume. It also marked the US concert debut of Coco Sumner (daughter of Sting and Trudi Styler), which is surprising given she’s been making music for several years now. Sumner took the stage with a full band backing her, and tore through a few songs before a quieted crowd. The hosts of the night’s event, Bianca Balti, Rachel Chandler-Guinness, Alexandra Richards, Theodora Richards, and Stella Schnabel buzzed around the room greeting guests.
Ferragamo has anointed these enchanting socialites as their Girls About Town, which is also the name of the new online campaign surrounding the fragrance. Launching on March 26 with The Signorina Story, a short film directed by Phil Pinto, the campaign will follow stylish young ladies as they go about their business in New York, uploading videos, photos, and messages on the campaign’s website, a version of The City for the social media crowd.
