How does one “blow” through $70 Million? Just ask famed music producer Scott Storch, who just filed for bankruptcy.
A hit-maker for Beyoncé, Lil Wayne, Christina Aguilera, Dr. Dre and everyone in between, Storch’s decadent lifestyle has reportedly left him with only $3,600 in assets (as a freelance writer in New York, I would be stoked on that figure, but whatever).
In his baller days, Storch owned a $10 million mansion on Miami’s Palm island (he describes it as a “drug den”), a 117-food yacht and a slew of flashy whips, including a $740,000 Rolls-Royce Phantom convertible. Ultimately it was his coke addiction (he’s been doing an eight-ball a day, sometimes more, since 2005) that led to his downfall. Not only is coke itself expensive, it led him to do some crazy, crazy things.
“We’d be at a club and I’d decide to take everyone to Las Vegas,” he told Details. “Do more coke, fuck a bunch of girls. Be up for two days and decide at 11 in the morning to go buy a Rolls-Royce. I probably bought 10 cars when I was high.”
As his famed song (almost) says, cry us a river, Storch.
Looking back to happier times, here’s the producer making a beat while getting a haircut.
