When we last caught up with Brooke Candy, she was about to head into the studio and record a new EP. After leaving Sony and not knowing what was going to happen with her record, she just wanted to to get back to what she knew: “making raw and authentic rap music, and just being [herself].” But what exactly does that mean when you’re Brooke Candy? “Getting on stage and rapping about my vagina, and hitting someone in the head.” Also, making ridiculously glamorous guerrilla music videos starring Larry Flynt. Just last week, Brooke released her first new single, “Volcano,” with a stunning visual directed by the freaky princess, herself. That same night, she performed at The Avalon’s “Tigerheat” and did exactly what she does best.
