Arnhem-based fashion house Maison the Faux (“The Fiction House”) aims to create clothing that ignores the industry’s division of menswear and womenswear, instead purveying “humanwear” for a less narrow-minded world.
Designer duo Joris Suk and Tessa de Boer has been largely successful in this mission since breaking into Amsterdam’s fashion scene in 2014, and since has pumped out some of our favorite collections and “visual concepts” to date: nipple prints, bondage Doc Marten heels and embroidered finger gloves, among them.
For their latest collection, “ANNAANNA-ANNAANNA,” Maison the Faux has created a digital campaign in collaboration with Olya Oleinic and styled by Pascal-Joël Weber. More like an experiential faux game, the online series begins on Level 17 and brings you through a range of surreal, post-Internet visuals.
“The FAUX fashion house takes you deeper into their world of morphing realities,” according to Maison the Faux’s Instagram. “Nothing is real and perceptions can be manipulated. Maison the Faux sets up a new game in a universe full of flying boobs and shooting silver blobs. Games are there to be played and rules are there to be broken.”
