Emma Watson’s Self Portrait Is Actually Pretty Good

+

Good news for Emma Watson, if she somehow burns through all of her millions of dollars, and inexplicably flushes her flourishing acting career down the toilet, she at least has a career as a struggling but talented artist to fall back on. This self portrait which has been making the rounds, is reported to have been done by Watson, and to be hanging in her home, according to an article in Vogue from a few year’s back:

As Emma takes me on a tour of her house, the extraordinary depth and breadth to her talents become obvious. Every room is framed around a beautiful artifact—a piece of furniture or fabric picked up at a flea market in Paris or Los Angeles—and her artworks show that she can both paint and draw exquisitely. One picture stands out: It is a self-portrait of Emma holding a camera. The lens is aimed menacingly at the viewer, like the barrel of a gun, a neat illustration of what we had just experienced at the Tate.

This is what the likes of Van Gogh and Frida Kahlo used to refer to as a #selfie. Just one question though, how did she paint while also holding the camera? Not sure how art works.
