It’s safe to say that magazine publisher Jefferson Hack, ex to Anouck Lepere and Kate Moss, has an unintentional Midas touch.
“We grew up in public, making all the mistakes live,” he told The Observer of founding Dazed & Confused at age 19 with photographer pal Rankin. “It gave us an energy and discord that set the template for a lot of magazines since then.”
It’s Hack’s intrinsic cool that inspired luxury retailer Tod’s to design a line of seasonally colored desert boots—more like, dessert boots, get it??—for spring. (Check out a fun, slaphappy video of the capsule collection, No_Code, in action here.)
A similarly compelling collaboration comes in the form of emerging British sportswear designer Peter Pilotto and American swimwear designer Lisa Marie Fernandez.
For spring, the former stylist’s neoprene scuba accents punctuate the dressmaker’s dizzying prints. The result is body-con and structured with just enough imbued cool to seduce the likes of Miranda Kerr and Emily Weiss, who are already flocking to the not-yet-available pieces.
