Nobody seems to be able to agree on what it is exactly that qualifies someone as a DJ any more —least of all the DJs themselves. One thing that we can say for sure, however, is that those (mostly) dudes sure can bitch and moan. Whether that’s over the minutiae of what type of specific software another DJ is using, how clubbers are constantly asking them to play songs that they don’t want to play, the sound system at the club they’re playing at, the existential pains of traveling around the world to parties, the state of electronic music in general, or who it is they let into their fratty club, the profession is rife with material, both real, and petty, to complain about. That’s why we’re happy to see the emergence of the new hot one-joke Twitter account this week called DJs Complaining, which we will definitely all still be reading and laughing about many days into the future.

The account, which already has over 16k followers, almost one for every Tweet they’ve posted, highlights tweets from DJs around the world doing what they do best, playing other people’s songs, passive-aggressively venting their frustrations to their loyal followers.

Some are hard to disagree with

Some are downright tragic

Others, like the music a lot of these dudes make, are downright banal, with no reason to exist

The whole spectrum of modern internet complaining is covered! From #Humblebrags…

To some truly horrific suffering that we can all relate to
