Chilean born and New York based fashion designer Pola Thomson has quickly become a favorite of the BULLETT fashion department. With a quiet elegance and a purist’s approach to the silhouette, Pola designs subtle, complex pieces that accentuate the female form.
In a BULLETT exclusive, Pola shares key images from her upcoming fall/winter 2011 collection. Pola’s inspiration from Greek mythology takes the form of delicately layered silk and cotton dresses and separates anchored by accessories made from drift wood and rope.
Pola collaborated on her look book with photographer Alexandra Waespi after the two bonded over their shared interest for analog photography. The result is visually arresting images of manipulated black and white Polaroids that embraces Pola’s design aesthetic.
