Following the release of his debut EP Broken Flowers, London-born producer Danny L Harle released today a visual for the project’s title track. Despite being a PC Music artist, Harle’s work sounds remarkably “pop,” this track in particular featuring a controlled, bouncy female vocalist and traditional song structure.
“Tear drops feel like showers, I thought I was free,” the singer says, complementing a music video that explores the mundanities of corporate workdays.
The energetic clip follows a young girl daydreaming during her photocopying job, which quickly transforms into a surreal experience that rejects the suffocations of reality. Industrial machinery becomes enveloped by Jumanji-style greenery, complete with flying birds, and the producer himself makes a cameo near the video’s end. Watch, below:
