Exclusive Crystal Antlers Interview

+

Right on the edge of the Brooklyn side of the East River, tucked away in the industrialized section of Greenpoint, The House of Vans took center stage this summer as NYC’s de facto spot for suspiciously legal and totally raucous rock shows. Part skate-park, part event space, bands like No Age and Screaming Females converged to play gritty shows to those who weathered the lines. Bullett caught up with Cali prog-indie band Crystal Antlers as they supported their new summer album, the heavy but surprisingly dreamy “Two-Way Mirror.” After playing a killer show in the space, the five-piece talked to us about their month in Mexico (and how they avoided living on beans), the full-length movie they are quietly working on and what they learned from working with labels (hint: a lot). Get an exclusive glimpse inside the House of Vans with Bullett, and check out the psychedelically punk sounds of Crystal Antlers.
