On the wheels of the all-new Toyota Prius launch, it may be time to retire those ” ‘Cool Prius’ – nobody” bumper stickers. Not to worry, preemptive self-deprecation is still an extremely effective defense mechanism showing no sign of slowing to anywhere near the speed of your average Prius driver. But thanks to The Creators Project Future Forward Event Series presented by Toyota Prius, the Switzerland of vehicles is finally flexing its muscles as an industry leader at the forefront of innovation, creativity, and style, not just an eco-friendly, mom-approved, reasonably priced means of getting to Trader Joe’s and back.
This past Saturday at NeueHouse in Hollywood, artists, tech nerds, and auto enthusiasts celebrated the unveiling of the all-new Prius and experienced its contributions to technological innovation first-hand. Cutting-edge artists and architects including Nonotak Studio, Doris Sung, and VT Pro each created an original, interactive exhibition to embody and incorporate one of the guiding tenets of the 2016 Prius. From seizure-inducing infinity mirror rooms to laser-based motion tracking vertical gardens, every work of art represented a conceptual and experiential interpretation of one of the Prius’ many ingenious attributes that are so often overlooked by its unparalleled practicality and exceptional ability to avoid getting pulled over for speeding.
