Comic Book Release: ‘Political Power: Hillary Clinton’

Finally, the comic book industry has released a little something for the ladies…
Are you tired of seeing ample-bosomed super heroines prancing around in spandex costumes?  Sick to death of Wonder Woman’s glossy, wind-blown mane?  Meet Hillary Clinton, a super heroine for the 21st century.  Sensibly adorned in her trademark pantsuits and near-mullet haircut, she attempts to affect change through endless meetings with bureaucrats and foreign officials.  er superpower: she’s a former First Lady and U.S. Senator, and also the current Secretary of State… but shhh, don’t tell anyone!

If it sounds like a joke, it’s not.  In stores today, ‘Political Power: Hillary Clinton’ is an unauthorized biography that chronicles the politician’s career from her appointment as Secretary of State to the present.  The follow-up to Bluewater Productions Inc’s “Hillary Clinton (Female Force)” released in 2009 even features a cover by DC Comics artist Joe Phillips, and the publisher anticipates the 32-page book will out-sell the previous issue.  While we might wonder why there is no middle ground between Catwoman and Hillary Clinton in the comic book universe, the real question might be who are the 20,000 people who purchased the first volume?
