In case you haven’t been following, Lena Dunham solidified her position as the voice of a generation (the white, privileged female generation) by making some horrid comments about Odell Beckham Jr. In a nutshell, Dunham hopped inside the mind of the football player, to infer that he didn’t want to talk to her because she was “not the shape of a women by his standards.” Well, Dunham, no one wants to talk to you anymore, and it definitely has nothing to do with your appearance.
Anyway, at a GQ party the other night, OBJ addressed Dunham’s comments in the classiest way possible, despite the fact that she tried (very unsuccessfully) to make him look like a shallow asshole.
“I don’t have enough information to really speak on it,” he told Complex. “We’ll see what happens from there. I never want any problems with anybody in this world.”
Given the media shit storm Dunham’s comments have caused and her subsequent apology, it’s likely that the athlete does have all the info (there isn’t much info to have, TBH). Still, dude takes the high road and acts like a gentleman, thus ending any “feud” before it starts and proving to be much more mature than Dunham, the whiniest white woman in the game. Game set and match… or touchdown, or whatever.
