And the migration to TV continues. Vulture announced this morning that Christopher Guest, the director of acclaimed comedies Best in Show and A Mighty Wind, is heading for the small screen with his first major project since 2006’s For Your Consideration. Guest will be working with his longtime collaborator Jim Piddock on a comedy called Family Tree, which “follows the efforts of one man as he attempts to track down his real family. “No network has yet picked up the series, which is still in its incipient stages, but with a name like Guest’s attached, it won’t be long before a deal is signed. We’re hoping for a slot on HBO, which announced Monday that it is developing a series from Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind auteur Charlie Kaufman and his frequent star Catherine Keener. Just imagine the crossover possibilities.
