For NY-based jewelry designer CHRISHABANA’s Sterling Silver campaign, he played off the collection’s sleek aesthetic and created a series inspired by vintage medical films. Featuring photography by Dom Smith and starring Habana’s muse, Dia Dear, the imagery is imbued with a strong sense of horror that brings together clinical imagery—hospital trays and stylized bandage—with Habana’s love of punk iconography.
He built off his signature septum cuff, moving into more extreme styles for this 2016 lineup. Ears are overwhelmed with layers of hoops, conch cuffs and studs; nail jewelry now highlights the nail without covering it, allowing for nail art to be framed by Habana’s work; he’s even included new stick-on pieces, which look like simple plugs and needles when applied to the body.
