“‘Still Chasing Nothing’ is somewhat a pep talk,” guitarist Evan Steine, of the Norwegian 6-piece Kid Astray says. “It’s about breaking old patterns in order to live in the moment and feel free. The ultimate goal is to be happy.”
The song certainly is working that magic on me this morning. And the video, directed by Evan Savitt, captures what seems like one of those perfect romantic nights where nothing can go wrong.
“I think Evan did a great job capturing that vibe with a couple getting lost in each other and being themselves,” Steine goes on.
The song, which calls to mind Passion Pit in its synth bounce and high-pitched vocals, comes from the band’s debut album Home Before The Dark, out June 15 via Cosmos.
